Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Crumbls, LLC ("Crumbls," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Astrology web platform (the "Service") available at crumbls.com and its related subdomains.

This policy covers the consumer Astrology Service only. It does not cover other Crumbls products, client engagements, or services, which are governed by separate agreements.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Crumbls, LLC is a Colorado limited liability company. For privacy questions, contact us at the address in the "Contact us" section below.

We are the data controller for personal information processed through the Service.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
  • Birth data. To generate astrological charts, we collect your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (city and approximate coordinates). You may also enter this information for other people (for example, friends or contacts you wish to compare charts with).
  • Relationship and comparison data. When you compare charts, add friends, or invite others, we store the records of those comparisons and connections.
  • Invitations. If you invite another person, we collect the email address and optional name and note you provide so we can send the invitation.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support, we keep a record of that correspondence.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the Service.
  • Device and technical data. Browser type, operating system, screen size, and similar technical details needed to deliver and secure the Service.
  • Approximate location. Derived from your IP address for security and regional functionality. This is separate from the birth location you enter for charts.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See the "Cookies" section below.

Payment information (when paid plans launch)

The Service is currently in a free beta. When paid subscriptions become available, payments will be processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Stripe processes payment details directly and provides us with limited information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and billing status. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

3. Birth data and sensitive information

Birth date, time, and location are personal information that you choose to provide. Some privacy laws may treat precise location or other details as sensitive. We process birth data only to provide the core function of the Service: generating and interpreting astrological charts for you and the comparisons you request.

We do not use birth data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

The Service is for entertainment and self-reflection. It is not a medical, psychological, financial, or professional advisory service, and birth data is not health information.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Generate astrological charts, readings, comparisons, and electional searches
  • Let you connect with, invite, and compare charts with other people
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions (when paid plans are available)
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

When paid plans launch, we will process the data necessary to perform our contract with you (your subscription). The free beta and product improvement are based on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, and on your consent where required.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use third parties to host, operate, and support the Service. These currently include cloud infrastructure providers (Amazon Web Services), email delivery services, and, when paid plans launch, Stripe for payments. These providers process information on our behalf under contract.
  • People you choose to share with. If you connect with, invite, or compare charts with another user, the relevant information is shared with them as part of that feature. For example, a person you compare charts with can see the comparison.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Crumbls, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Crumbls is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party tools, including:

  • Amazon Web Services โ€” hosting and infrastructure
  • Stripe โ€” payment processing (when paid plans launch)
  • Swiss Ephemeris โ€” astronomical calculation library (runs on our infrastructure; does not receive your personal data)

These providers have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We default to the most privacy-protective options and do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

We honor "Do Not Track" preferences where technically feasible.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

You can exercise many of these directly in your account settings, including editing your birth data, removing connections, and deleting your account. For other requests, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Colorado residents

Under the Colorado Privacy Act, Colorado residents have the rights described above, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data and do not engage in targeted advertising through the Service.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and infrastructure hardening. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

12. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
